That's it

That about sums it up. Thank you all for supporting me through your prayers and words of encouragement these last months. Sorry that it took me awhile to get these pictures up here and that you had to do with only words for so long. The pictures are put in reverse chronological order. They are meant to kind of be a visual for some of the things that I wrote about. I hope you enjoy getting this glimpse of the vastness of the land and my experiences.
I will continue to keep a blog going from time to time at http://theinvisibleninja.blogspot.com

Gansukh's wedding

Went to my friend Gansukh's wedding. Was very fun and I think somewhat of a blend between western and Mongolian styles exhibited in the ceremony.

Darkhan

Went to Darkhan for a few days. Darkhan is the 2nd largest city in Mongolia with a population of about 100,000. Checked out the work that the C&MA is doing there, though, not pictured. This is an evening in the park with my friend Solongo who was my guide and also I think safeguard sent by WV to make sure I would make it back home eventually.

An evening at the river

One evening after work we went to the Kherlen river for a stroll and to enjoy the sunset.

Snow! Isn't it summer yet?!

It snowed in May! This day we saw all 4 seasons. In the morning it was warm and summer and before we new it snow was falling in huge chunks.

The first rain and bits of green

The first rain was so exciting and invigorating as it brought life. It was so exciting to see the first bits of green grace the brown soil. Amazing.

Khorkhug

This was my farewell party. They cooked up a goat in that big metal container usually used for collecting water from the well. Then they put veggies and hot rocks in there to cook it. Then put the whole thing over a fire. Wow that was so nice and tasty. A very special celebration. Felt very loved.
